Not sure where you're located, but I recommend calling a local independent insurance agent, not a captive local agent, who only works for one company.There is absolutely no solicitation. Independent insurance agents do not charge you extra for their service (comparing quotes, managing all your policies, filing claims, etc.) They do all the shopping and manage all your insurance policies even if you have multiple coverages with different providers, again with no additional cost. These companies, like Cincinnati Insurance, Utica, Central (see you probably never heard of them) can typically beat out prices by these larger name providers because they don't need to compensate for their large marketing budgets. Independent insurance agencies work with over 10+ insurance providers who typically don't advertise heavily through TV / PPC like (Geico, Allstate, etc. Honestly, your best option would be going through an independent insurance agency. There are a lot of problems with comparison website as they typically do not benefit the consumer, rather the insurance provider. I'll try to be as unbias as possible, as I work as a marketer for an independent insurance agency, but here it goes.
