![]() Inside the game can you go the full settings menu, select input, then under controller/gamepad there is a setting for mouse index, can you try some different numbers, assuming you are currently zero, try 1,2,3,4. The bar is working as the gun still works fine in mame games. I've got button presses being registered, but no cursor movement so i can't configure the gun. Thank you for this! I'm having a few issues though. I've managed to make some further small performance improvements on the Pi since my last video but haven't had the time to do any videos since this last one which shows all the range of Lightgun support that the Pi has or will have said in Lightgun support added to PCSX-Rearmed: I'm working hard to deliver the Kickstarter this year and I'll be able to take new orders then too. įor those of you interested in my project, the Sinden Lightgun Kickstarter is progressing well, I'm really happy with the quality so far but everything is annoyingly taking more time than I was wanting. I'll also publish my DosBox and Flycast Sega Naomi Lightgun support when I get the chance to complete them properly. A good example of this is when you play Die Hard Trilogy. You can use these if the emulator is not putting the shots in the right place. There is some guncon adjust settings in the options too. You need a mouse based lightgun like the Aimtrak or a Dolphin bar or my upcoming Sinden Lightgun. Then on the menu under options you can change Pad 1 Type to "guncon". When that has finished then you load lr-pcsx-rearmed as usual. Now go into RetroPie setup, manage packages, manage core packages, lr-pcsx-rearmed, do a remove first, then update from source. home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/libretrocores/lr-pcsx-rearmed.sh If a couple of people could test it that would be awesome and then I can have a go at merging it up into main branch, I haven't done that before so quite appreciative of any advice or guidance. I haven't added any roms yet, but I'm impressed at how fast it actually boots up.Meant to complete this ages ago but I have finally added Guncon lightgun support to PCSX-Rearmed so you can now play all your favourite Lightgun games on the Raspberry Pi. Seems to be running okay, although I did have to use ssh since I can't seem to connect to it within Windows networks. Still, if I could figure out how to install it by disc, I'd probably try it out regardless.Įdit: I managed to get it installed by using plopexec. ![]() I don't know if Lakka works differently, but that's how it appears to be upon reading about it. I could never seem to be able to get the whole "connect to this PC and share files" thing to work. Also, I really don't like the idea of using another PC to edit the files and add Roms. I was wanting to install Lakka, but I can't really find a tutorial on how to install Lakka using a disc, since this laptop appears to be unable to boot from USB. Oh no, I'm actually quite familiar with Linux, using various Debian based distros in the past. All of my drivers are completely updated. Running Windows 10, but I replaced explorer.exe shell with Retroarch to help with extra performance and to add to a seamless console-like experience. It has a 2.17GHz Intel Pentium N3520 Quad Core, 4gb ram, and basic Intel HD graphics. If it matters, I'm using an old laptop hooked into my 720p TV. Is this possible? Will the performance be better than Mednafen? Also, is there a pre-compiled version of the core so that I don't have to compile it myself? PCSX-R seems to be missing from the core updater. But yet, I see forum posts mentioning that they're using it on basic x86 and 圆4 architecture. The only other PS1 core that I see mentioned is PCSX-Rearmed, but from the github page it looks as if Rearmed will only function on ARM based processors. I haven't tried other games yet, but I assume they'll be the same way. ![]() At least, Silent Hill and Crash Team Racing both run in slow-motion. ![]() Unfortunately, I just can't seem to get good performance out of Mednafen. ![]()
